Job Description

Must have a strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, electromechanical and refrigerant systems.

  • Log and tracks all service calls to ensure the issue has been closed to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Completes service work and warranty repairs by either traveling to a site or by making arrangements with a 3rd party service provider to travel to the site to complete the work.
  • Make all the necessary arrangements to have the product shipped back for either warranty or service work and ensure the work is completed by either undertaking the working yourself or making arrangements with the production coordinator to have the work completed. 
  • Ensure the product is shipped back to the customer on time and the work performed meets their expectations.
  • Ensure that all billable service work is charged for.
  • Provide structured technical training 
  • Create and produce detailed training material and tools  that can be utilized to train and educate customers
  • Create and produce detailed fault isolation/troubleshooting tools and preventative maintenance guide.
  • Troubleshoot and carry out preventative maintenance programs on OptiTemp products.
  • Investigate reported issues/failures on OptiTemp products to determine the cause of issue/failure and produce detailed reports.
  • To work closely with the  Engineering and Quality departments to identify systemic issues as well as providing input on solutions to address systemic issues.
  • Manage the relationship with 3rd party service organizations.

  • Able to read, write, follow instructions, perform mathematical calculations, analyze data and draw
  • conclusions from visual and/or physical inspection of equipment or materials.
  • Able to accept training and maintain skills necessary to meet new and changing technologies.
  • Capable of answering the phone in a professional manner
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Provide technical support over the phone or via emails.
  • Ability to work well within a diverse group of individuals.
  • Critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Be a good active listener, gives full attention to what other people are saying, taking time the to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area.
  • Able to stand, sit, walk, stoop, climb, kneel push/pull, lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds.
