The Leelanau Community Cultural Center and Leelanau Art Educators will host the “Exposures 2017” exhibit to celebrate the visual art and creative writing of Leelanau County students in grades 7-12 chosen for this year’s publication. This year is the 29th Anniversary of the Exposures Magazine.
The doors will open at 3:30 on Friday, April 28, but the opening reception is 4:30 to 7:00 pm featuring original artwork, essays and poetry from students at Glen Lake, The Leelanau School, Leland, Northport, Pathfinder, St. Mary’s, and Suttons Bay. Performances from student groups representing participating schools will begin at 5:30.
Hors d’oeuvres are provided courtesy of the participating schools and area businesses.
All students whose work is included in the book will receive a complimentary copy of Exposures 2017. Additional copies will go on sale for $5 per copy at area book stores. The exhibit continues on Saturday, April 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Old Art Building in Leland.
