Currie’s Furniture is pleased to announce that they have partnered with The Father Fred Foundation for the third consecutive year for their annual “Father Fred Mattress Event”. Currie’s Furniture will donate 5% of all mattress sales during the month of May to The Father Fred Foundation. The event was started in 2015 as a way for Currie’s Furniture to partner with The Father Fred Foundation with over $4,000 being donated in just over the past two years. “May tends to be one of our highest volume mattress months and we found it was a great way to involve our customers to help us give back to the community” said Greg Currie, owner of Currie’s Furniture.
Currie’s Furniture is well known for their two sided mattresses that are handcrafted right here in Northern Michigan by Restonic. Greg and Karlene Currie started Currie’s Furniture in 1993 and are celebrating their 24th year in business. Restonic is a top 10, national name brand mattress manufacturer which has been building handcrafted mattresses in Northern Michigan since 1938. Currie's is located at 2668 M-37 South, Traverse City, MI or visit them online at www.curriesfurniture.com.
Since1989, The Father Fred Foundation has been helping individuals and families with their essential immediate needs; nourishing food on the table, keeping heat and lights on, needed work shoes, children's boots and clothing, or a table or bed when the necessities of home are unaffordable. Above all, we work to nurture hope when all else seems hopeless. What we have is given free of charge to those in need. We serve our five local counties (Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Kalkaska) and we welcome all individuals. Every week a dedicated team of volunteers and a small staff are the hands and hearts of Father Fred.
