Herkner Farms Donates to Food Rescue
Traverse City, Michigan, July 14, 2017 – Herkner Farms has joined forces with Goodwill Industries and Food Rescue to donate a portion of their proceeds from product sales at the 2017 National Cherry Festival.
Herkner Farms participated as a vendor at the 2017 National Cherry Festival. Their mission was to donate a meal to Food Rescue for every product sold. In addition, they matched the total products sold for a total of 3,632 meals donated.
“We are so honored to be able to give back to our community neighbors with the proceeds from the sales at the Cherry Festival Market Place booth. This is our first year participating in the festival, and we are delighted that the sales will provide many meals to those in need through Food Rescue,” states Bruce Byl, President of Herkner Farms and cofounder of Food Rescue.
Herkner Farms products can be found locally on the shelves of Tom’s, Oleson’s, Meijer, Burritt’s, Maxbauers, and Main St. Market in Gaylord. For more information on Herkner Farms and the products they offer, please visit www.herknerfarms.com or call
