The Leelanau Community Cultural Center is excited to be part of a new musical endeavor – The Leland Musical Arts Celebration. This inaugural year brings both nationally and internationally renowned classical musicians and artists to share the stage at the Old Art Building. This three-night celebration begins on August 17 and continues through Saturday August 19, with programs each evening at 7:00 pm. Cost to attend these events is $15 each and can be purchased at MyNorthTickets.com or call 231-256-2131.

On Thursday, August 17, a reception featuring The Art of Kay Doyle will be held at 7:00 pm. Her art work will be available for sale throughout the celebration. Mezraq Ramli, founder and coordinator of this celebration, will be introducing the collaborative artists, share his vision and kick off the program. Mezraq will also perform a short selection on the oboe. This year's featured artists/musicians include Amy Anderson (oboe), Gregory Brookes (baritone), Kay Doyle (visual artist) and Sun Yong Hwang, (piano).

On Friday, August 18 & Saturday, August 19, the musicians will perform Chamber Music Recitals. Showcasing two varying programs, the musicians will join forces presenting works by composers including Bach, Grant-Still and Schumann. A wine and cheese reception will follow recitals.

All proceeds will benefit the Leland Musical Arts Celebration so that we may continue to bring distinguished musicians and artists to Leland.
